In 1999, Oscar Gruss developed its own proprietary order management system, OGX.

 

While OGX was originally designed to handle the internal order flow on our own trading desk, this system was made available to our clients in 2000.  Since this time we have installed over 200 terminals in clients offices around the world.

 

OGX allows clients to directly access US equity and option markets, but it is much more than a simple order management system.  Since we own our own technology, Oscar Gruss is able to tailor the exact configuration of the software to suit the type of business being conducted.

 

Thus, a client's smaller, "plain vanilla" business may be directed straight to an execution destination (such as CCJ or ECN) without any human intervention, while larger, institutional orders can be sent to a floor broker or the Oscar Gruss sales-trading desk.  OGX also allows clients to place electronic orders in spreads and straddles for options, as well as choose the particular market or exchange to which an individual order is routed.

 

OGX can also function as a disaster recovery or home-office solution for our client base.
